Right of Withdrawal
As a consumer, you have the right to withdraw from distance purchases (online, by phone, or by email) within 14 days. This right is based on EU Directive 2011/83/EU on consumer rights, transposed into Belgian law via Book VI of the Code of Economic Law.
1. Your Right of Withdrawal
- You have the right to withdraw from this contract within 14 calendar days without giving any reason.
- The withdrawal period expires 14 days from the day on which you, or a third party designated by you, take physical possession of the vehicle.
- To exercise the right of withdrawal, you must notify us of your decision by means of an unambiguous statement (e.g. by email to support@eurocardeals.be or by letter to EuroCarDeals, Bruggesteenweg 137, 8830 Hooglede, Belgium).
- You may use the model withdrawal form at the bottom of this page, but it is not mandatory.
2. Effects of Withdrawal
- If you withdraw from this contract, we will reimburse all payments received from you, including delivery costs (except for any additional costs arising from your choice of a delivery method other than the least expensive standard delivery), without undue delay and in any event no later than 14 days from the day on which we are informed of your decision.
- We will carry out such reimbursement using the same means of payment as you used for the initial transaction, unless you have expressly agreed otherwise; in any event, you will not incur any fees as a result of such reimbursement.
- We may withhold reimbursement until we have received the vehicle back.
- You are responsible for the direct costs of returning the vehicle.
- You are only liable for any diminished value of the vehicle resulting from handling it other than what is necessary to establish its nature, characteristics, and functioning.
3. Exception: Vehicles Registered in the Buyer's Name
- Pursuant to Article VI.53 of the Belgian Code of Economic Law, the right of withdrawal does NOT apply when the vehicle has been registered in the buyer's name (at the Vehicle Registration Service / DIV) before or during the withdrawal period.
- Once a vehicle is registered in the buyer's name, the right of withdrawal is forfeited by operation of law.
- EuroCarDeals advises consumers not to register the vehicle in their name until they are certain of their purchase decision.
4. Exception: In-Store Purchases
- When the purchase takes place in our showroom or after an in-person test drive without any prior distance communication that led to the purchase, the right of withdrawal does not apply.
